Ayia Napa, Cyprus — Destination Guide
Explore the Ayia Napa area guide. Known for Nissi Beach, vibrant nightlife, sea caves and Cape Greco National Park.
Ayia Napa is one of the Mediterranean's most famous resort towns — renowned for its extraordinary beaches, legendary nightlife and the dramatic natural scenery of Cape Greco National Park on its doorstep.
The town has two distinct personalities: by day it's a sun-and-sea destination with world-class beaches and a relaxed cafe culture; by evening (particularly in July and August) it becomes one of Europe's most animated nightlife destinations, with bars and clubs concentrated along a compact strip that guests can easily engage with or avoid entirely.
Beyond the beach and the bars, Ayia Napa has significant natural and cultural attractions including the 16th-century Venetian monastery at the heart of the town square, the sea caves and blue lagoon at Cape Greco, and the Ayia Napa Sculpture Park.
Best time to visit Ayia Napa
Ayia Napa is busiest from June to September. July and August are peak nightlife season; if you're travelling for beach relaxation without the club atmosphere, May, June, September and October are ideal. Spring visits (April–May) allow access to Cape Greco's wildflowers and coastal trails before the heat of summer.
